aj4.jpgTelling stories for children of all ages I sneak in elements of fact to add a patina of history to traditional tales (sometimes in a process of education by stealth)

I have worked in grand settings such as John of Gaunt’s Hall at Kenilworth, in churches and castles and also at firesides under the stars.

Some stories insinuate themselves into a place: Once telling Halloween Stories in the Maze at Somer Leyton Hall even the resident ghost came out to hear…

As part of a two year project, followed the trail of the Essex witch hunts of 1645 telling their story at Colchester where suspected women were imprisoned and tried.  Later travelled on to Chelmsford and Manningtree where, once convicted, the women were hanged.
