![]() | Also known as Muffin the Card, I portray the following characters: Calligraphy: The Scrivener sits in his tent skillfully writing, he stops to cut a new quill. People try their hand with a pen. Lining the walls of his tent hang examples of medieval alphabets. Lipwork: Bee skeps, bedmats and baskets, transformed from readily available materials. All the Lipworker needs is straw and bramble, some water, a horn and a bone 'fid'. Playing Cards: From the 14th century playing cards were hand-coloured for the rich and influential. Discover how they evolved through time and enter the world of the Cartier, and maybe even take a pack home. |
