Based on the Scottish border, The Crafty Beggars are two skilled crafts
people offering working demonstrations of both woodland crafts and hat
making in a historic setting.
We present a full and lively
display of the crafts we produce, alongside the tools and materials
used in their production, be it hand-made felt from our own sheep,
woven rush hats, hand-carved wooden spoons or besom brooms and rakes.
As Cornucopia, we can also offer lively performances of period music on bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy and fiddle.
